  • One of the most common problems faced by students while preparing for exams or studying is that they tend to forget what they have studied. This can be due to several reasons like sleep deprivation, unhealthy diet, less concentration, low energy and fatigue. Students tend to panic, lose their calm and get nervous when they have an important exam the other day. Well! Students you should not worry at all as practicing yoga will not only help sharpen your brain but will also enhance your memory, concentration and will help you score well in your exams.

Celebrations :

  • Whenever we think or hear about the word festival automatically a smile comes on our face. We start thinking of clothes we would wear, and the food we would eat, gifts we would exchange. But celebrating special days or any festival in school means much more than that. There are many special days and festivals celebrated throughout the world but celebrating a festival in school with friends and teachers is a very special thing for any child.
  • A festival is an occasion of enjoyment and celebration which promotes a child’s social interaction and harmony.
  • Kids will remember an important day or festival day only if they are told about what the occasion signifies. So a celebration makes them too aware of the things in a more fun and happy way. For a child celebrating events and festivals in school has become an integral part of growing, learning new activities, and building a strong cultural belief. Celebrations bring the students or the children closer to each other’s cultural beliefs and traditions to develop respect and understanding for each other’s customs and traditions. School-going children are exposed to the essence of festivals in various ways as they participate in singing dancing or a one-act play or a poem recitation or simply tap their feet on peppy songs followed by cheerful rhymes and melodious songs. Each and every performance by kids turns out to be innovative and unique in its own way. It boosts their self-esteem and gives them confidence. It may be possible that a child is not good in academics but very good in other activities. So it is a great opportunity for such children to show their best performance and grab some clapping. At the end of the day, the limitless joy of celebrating the event is visible on their faces. For children, it is a great way to understand and learn the rich heritage of India and learn about the importance of various festivals. Along with fun and enthusiasm for the activities related to the festival, qualities like creativity, sensitivity and a feeling of togetherness are also inculcated in the students. Keeping its values intact, School wishes to offer the right kind of educational system which is based on moral ethics and values.

Dance :

  • Dancing is a mix of art and exercise which connects the mind and body, and makes one sharper and stronger.
  • Dance is a holistic activity for the mind, body and the soul. It aligns all these, and the participants are then more aware of their strength and weaknesses giving them an opportunity to identify them and work on them.
  • With a dance class, they have something to look forward to and they get to do what they like. Also, many students who are generally introverts get a platform to express themselves and their personality starts reflecting positively after attending dance classes. Not only do they learn dance, engage in a physical activity but also experience something that highlights their spirit.
  • Dance is a physical interpretation of what the music says. It is a great way to release energy, shed inhibitions and let your emotions out. When you dance you sweat, and you release ‘feel good’ endorphins that make you happy. The teaching pattern is interactive and communicative ensuring that the learning process is fun and stress-free. Participants are encouraged to learn in a healthy environment where no one is judged. My motto has always been ‘Have Feet, Will Dance.’ Therefore, each student is given equal attention and the entire group grows together.
  • This is where the art of dance and the performing arts help develop skills, knowledge and understanding. Dance requires a lot of stamina which ensures the body is agile and light.

Music :

  • Music classes are a great way to break class monotony. It helps students to unwind and get a break from their classes.
  • Music classes help improve and spur language development because music is closely related to everyday speech and conversation. The part of the brain that supports language and learning also supports music, so one can make a connection as to why music, learning, and languages are closely aligned. Music also helps students to develop good reading skills.
  • Learning to play a musical instrument can help children develop their coordination, concentration and listening skills. It is also an excellent way to express themselves creatively.
  • It’s without a doubt to say that music has been integral to communities and civilizations from time immemorial. All praises, whether to God or to nature or even to humanity, have been musically written which shows how much importance has been ascribed to music.

Drawing :

  • Children can’t always express themselves using words and actions, so drawing is another important form of communication. You can gain an insight into your child’s thoughts and feelings through their drawings. Being able to express what they feel also boosts a child’s emotional intelligence.
  • One of the first things a child can do is pick up a pencil and start drawing. And as new technologies are becoming much more accessible to children and their families, they bring with them new ways to learn important creative skills. We see drawing as one of the most fundamental of these skills.
  • Drawing enables your child’s imagination to become more active. Each time they draw they access their imagination and make physical representations of what’s in their mind. People’s imaginations have allowed them to create all of the things that we use daily and are surrounded by.
